I have heard that Japan is prone to earthquakes and typhoons. Is it true? Is this valid for the whole of Japan or only some part of it? I am quite scared of earthquakes, so I would like to know this information before I create any travel plans.
As per my understanding, due to its location, almost whole of Japan is susceptible to to earthquakes but I don’t think that should stop you. I have heard that Japanese people are one of the most respectful people in the world, and it is a beautiful country. It would be unfortunate to be in the middle of a natural calamity, but I would definitely like to experience Japan sometime in the future. -

Morgan’s Pond Hole, Bamboo Avenue and Trench Town are some of the places that I would recommend. I think Jamaica has a lot of such places that are not so popular but offer a unique experience. Hellshire Hills is probably another such location.

MaxJune 1, 2025 at 1:38 pm::Thanks for sharing @Max, all these names ring a bell and they are all amazing places to visit.Morgan’s Pond is a deep breath taking cave in hills of Manchester parish. Bamboo ave aka Holland bamboo in Jamaica is a lovely kept sheltered passage of road aprox 2.5 miles tunneling trough bamboo trees arching over, always nice to stop there on a hot day to drink a cool coconut jelly and buy fresh peanuts. Trench town is known for its cultural heritage, known as the birth place of reggae and other Jamaican music genres, notable figure Bob Marley. Hellshire hills I’ve never been as yet i plan to soon. However i learned its a tropical rain forest which is home to a vast collection of endangered Flora & Fauna species unique to Jamaica. This ill recommend to nature persons who love the hills, in fact is on my bucket list too.Thank you for adding your perspective and additional details/historical significance. I think it will help others to choose the places as per their liking. It is surprising that Jamaica is a comparatively smaller place but it has so much to offer to everyone. I will probably have to plan another trip to revisit some of the places or see that ones that I couldn’t cover.
