Hey everyone, is this forum still active? I’m new here! I’m planning a budget trip to the Caribbean and this topic has been really helpful so far. From what I’ve seen, flights tend to be cheaper if you’re flexible with your dates, travel during the off-season, or use tools like Google Flights and Hopper to track prices. I also don’t mind taking a short layover flight if it saves some money. Right now I’m hoping to find something in the US$400–500 range. Which islands have you all found to be the cheapest to fly into recently? And do you have any personal tricks or apps you use to grab good deals? Thanks, excited to learn from everyone here!
Hi there, welcome to the forum!
Great to have you with us, and yes the community is still active!
Thanks for the helpful tips you’ve already shared. You’re absolutely right: being flexible with dates, checking off-season fares, and using tools like Google Flights/Hopper can make a big difference.
In terms of budget-friendly Caribbean destinations, members here often mention: Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Jamaica, and sometimes The Bahamas, as having the most consistent flight deals from the U.S. Prices do fluctuate, but your US$400–500 range is definitely realistic, especially with layovers.
