Ive been diving in the Caribbean since 2010. For snorkeling, you can’t beat the crystal-clear waters of Bonaire it’s a shore snorkeling paradise. The US Virgin Islands, especially St. John, and Turks & Caicos also offer amazing shallow reefs teeming with life. For diving, head to Cozumel or the Cayman Islands for incredible wall dives and vibrant marine life. Belize’s Blue Hole is iconic for advanced divers. If you’re looking for a mix of both, try Roatán in Honduras or Negril and Montego Bay in Jamaica which have good reef access and calm waters for all skill levels.”

St. Thomas is a good bet for checking out underwater habitats.  You don’t even need to go far off shore to experience what feels like a whole new world.  Some of the fish are even used to tourists and will allow you to feed them, like off of Coki Point Beach.  If you want to check out other sea life like crabs and stingrays, then Magens Bay Beach is your best bet.  Just be prepared to walk among the rocks to find the best hidden nooks.
