^ Sure! I’ve been to the MOMA a few times so far, and I always make sure to see Van Gogh’s The Starry Night and Andrew Wyeth’s Christina’s World (which I personally find more moving). Both are on the fifth floor.

There are different eateries at the museum, too, but I’ve only grabbed a quick bite on the second floor, which I believe is called Cafe 2.

One more thing: I can’t remember which floor, but it has a window where you can see an older apartment building in between taller modern buildings. I love taking a break and staring at it – pretending I can actually afford to live there, hah!

We have all seen New York City in various movies and series. I wish to visit some of these places such as the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, Times Square, etc. I would also like to go to Broadway to experience some of the iconic theatre performances. Hope that I can soon visit the city that never sleeps.

You should visit New York. I finally got to visit New York for the first time last year, I did not get to visit all the various sites there but my experience was amazing. I stayed in the borough of Bronx, visited Times Square & Harlem in Manhattan, saw Grand Central’s beautiful Art in the ceiling & sculptures, I went to the borough of Queens & Green Acres Mall in Long Island NY. I also passed by Broadway in Manhattan too. The streets were bustling and busy throttling down to christmas. The trip was lovely and well spent. I want to visit again this year and see more places this time.

Is it safe to roam around in New York at night? I will be going there next month and I haven’t heard good stories about safety at night. Want to know the ground reality before I make a decision.

in reality, no where is really safe but some places are safe enough. I will best advise to have an itinerary of places you want to visit and things you want to do beforehand. Stay away from lonely streets. Have a driver/contact at hand also New York has a very robust transportation system You should be fine. Remember to take lots of pictures and videos. Take note of the weather too. Where in New York are you staying?  All the best for your trip 🙌

I would also add the Museum of Modern Art. Since it’s smaller than the Met, it’s much easier to browse through most, if not all, of it within an afternoon.

Exactly, and this is so true. Thanks for adding, and I believe so too. If time is a factor, any traveler may need some consensus experience before too long, otherwise, you may not get to experience the destination’s full essence which can leave you feeling less accomplished or unfulfilled, especially if the tour is rushed. sometimes it’s best to opt for smaller, less bustling destinations for a more personalized trip. Can you share any experience you’ve had visiting the Museum of Modern Art?

If you want a beer or a cocktail after visiting all these great sites, I highly recommend stopping in at McSorley’s. It opened in the mid-1800s, and the history inside the place is just incredible. There’s even a chair over the bar that Abe Lincoln sat in when he was there. Word of caution, though – their beer glasses are very small, so sometimes it’s best to order more than one or even a pitcher so you don’t have to keep waiting to get your next one.

There are several popular shows that are shot with a studio audience in New York.  I’d make an effort to see at least one of them, especially since tickets are usually free.

That’s a great idea! New York is home to several popular TV shows that are filmed with a live studio audience, and attending one can be a fun and unique experience. Shows like The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Saturday Night Live, and The Late Show with Stephen Colbert offer freetickets, but they can be in high demand, so it’s good to plan ahead. Seeing a live taping not only gives you a behind-the-scenes look at how these shows are made but also adds an exciting element to your trip. If you’re visiting NYC, it’s definitely worth making an effort to catch one!
