Whenever I travel, I forget to bring something or the other. This list would surely be helpful for me and I would love to share it with my friends. I am creating a checklist right away.

I have observed a lot of commercialization at some of the famous tourist places. There should be a check on the commercial activities and proper waste disposal should be performed. I hope the local people and government do not think from short term perspective only and keep the future generations in mind.

Great post and I couldn’t agree more. Earlier, I used to think that international travel can be a costly affair and used to shy away from it. However, during my backpacking trip to Thailand and India, I was pleasantly surprised. It was refreshing to witness different cultures and landscapes. I really enjoyed trekking in the Himalayas and short hikes in Thailand.
I have never been on a backpacking trip but looking at your experience, I think I should give it a try. I am not sure if I would be comfortable in carrying everything in a backpack as I am used to travel with bigger trolley bags. I probably need to start an exercise routine now. -

I visited Seoul for a few days pre-pandemic. It would be awesome to go back. I barely scratched the surface after visiting Gyeongbokgung Palace and walking around Myeongdong. Have you been to Seoul? If so, what did you do there?
If you go again, do visit the National Museum of Korea. It is huge and has a large amount of objects at display. The pond outside the museum looks nice as well. You would need a few hours to explore the museum.
