And does it vary by island or is there one particular month/season that is cheaper across the board? Also, when is the best time to book to get the best deals?

Great question @Jules! Generally, the least expensive time to visit the Caribbean is during the off-season, which runs from mid-April through November this overlaps with hurricane season, so prices tend to drop. While exact costs can vary by island, you’ll often find the best deals across the board in September and October.

As for booking, it’s usually best to start looking 2–4 months in advance, and keep an eye out for flash sales or package deals. Hope that helps and feel free to ask about specific islands if you have one in mind!

Thanks for the helpful information! When it comes to hurricane season, what’s the refund policy for resorts and airlines? I don’t mind taking a chance of booking during those months, but I also don’t want to be stuck there in the event of a bad storm.

It likely depends on the company, so I’d read their terms and conditions carefully when deciding which one to select. Have you looked into getting travel insurance?  In my experience, it usually covers disasters like hurricanes.
